Ready for the world?

Soon I think me little blog will be ready to take on the onslaught of the world! Some things I still have left to fix:

  1. Install a web traffic analyzer of some kind (PMetrics? Google analytics?) (Google analytics it is!)
  2. Implement Gravatars in comments
  3. Register my blog on Technocrati
  4. Replace my homepage with the blog, make the right RewriteRules for my .htaccess.
  5. Update the first page of the blog to be a “homey”-version, with info about me, link to swedish page (for those unlucky souls who don’t read english), pictures and suchs.
  6. Look into implementing Brians Threaded Comments with my theme. (skipped this!)
  7. Check out if there are better WYSIWYG-editors out there that I want to use. (nope, gonna stick with the default!)
  8. Figure out how to implementing a ‘Unread posts/comments’-page. (Moved to another post)
  9. Fixing swedish characters on the main page.
  10. Rethink if I really want to use Technocrati tags on my page. (Moved to another post)

That’s it, I think! When I’ve done these things my blog should be up and running!

    I’m still working on them to work properly, and of course you should register one! whip Gravatars work by identifying an emailadress with your picture. So as long as you use the same email in these comments as you register on the gravatar site (all the gravatars on my blog link to the gravatar site), your pic should show up here too!

    Oooh! Excellent! It takes a while for the gravatar to be approved and ranked. Took a couple of days for me.

    Hmm. And now to add a new item to my list of things to do with my blog: Add a ‘Unread posts since your last visit’ page/link!

    I know! There is a plugin for ‘Smart unread comments’. I’m thinking about modifying that code to show unread posts aswell )
