Yes, I read that IE7 would use the same standard as Firefox does, they differ somewhat. I’m not sure my plugins are in accordance with the IE7 standard, since I haven’t yet installed IE7 Might do that soon though

Microsoft also have a similar search module in Internet Explorer 7. You can create your own customized search plugin for your website and let your users install it.
